Phegans Bay rock climber rescued by helicopter

An injured rock climber has been rescued by helicopter after an incident at Phegans Bay.
Rescue units from Umina and Gosford fire stations responded to reports of a man who had fallen and injured himself down a cliff in the bushland around Phegans Bay on Wednesday afternoon, June 24
The firefighter crews worked with NSW Ambulance paramedics past sunset to attend to the climber.
They placed the man on a stretcher that was then winched into the helicopter.
The man was successfully evacuated by air just after 7:30 pm.
